The frequency converter is primarily integrated to control motor and airend speeds in order to produce the momentary air demand requirement at the required pressure.
Frequency control is ideal where shift /production patterns create a fluctuating demand for compressed air or where there is a small storage volume or in a multiple installation for peak load operation.
INTELLIGENT FAN CONTROL
From the S 61-3 up we offer variable cooling air flow via frequencycontrolled fan as an option. It ensures that it only ever works as hard as necessary. These machines achieve a significant efficiency advantage.
The centrepiece of the integrated DUOTHERM BPT heat exchanger is a plate heat exchanger through which passes hot oil around +85°C from the oil circuit. The counter-flow water passing through the heat exchanger is heated up to around +70°C.
The SLF machines work best in specific areas. Used in conjunction with direct drive and frequency control, they form a very flexible system. The delivery quantity is determined by the pressure value – so the machine delivers only as much compressed air as is actually needed.
