Hidden champions and free trade: German member of parliament Esdar visits BOGE

Open markets and free trade are extremely important for hidden champions such as BOGE: The member of parliament for the social democratic party of Germany Dr Wiebke Esdar visited us at the head office to exchange ideas on this. The politician paid us a visit together with representatives of the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) – and obtained information from the BOGE CEO Wolf D. Meier-Scheuven about the international orientation of our innovation-driven family company. Our export quota is 65% and BOGE products are in demand in more than 120 countries worldwide.

Many medium-sized companies in Germany would like to see more commitment to open markets from politicians, explained Meier-Scheuven at the event, to which representatives from the press were also invited. Free trade ultimately means competitiveness – and overseas business ensures valuable jobs at home.
